Where we work
Planning a patio call
Bring us the idea, even a rough one. The corner of the yard, the grill setup you want, the magazine photo you saved. We talk about the space, how Troy's clay soil and freeze cycles shape the base plan, and what is realistic for your budget and season. Then we walk the yard together and sketch the real thing.
Before the visit, take a photo of the area from the house and one from the back fence, and pace off the rough footprint. Know what the patio needs to do, dinner for six, a fire pit circle, a walkway that ties to the driveway, function first, pattern second.
From design to first dinner on the new patio, most Troy projects run a few weeks of calendar and a few days of actual construction. Excavation and base work come first and take the longest, which is exactly how it should be, the base is the patio. Laying the pavers moves fast once the ground is right, and the polymeric sand and compaction finish the job. You get care basics in writing: what the joints need, how the edge restraint works, and when a reseal is worth it if you chose a sealed finish. After that, the patio mostly asks to be used. Furniture, fire pit, and summer take it from there.
